STUDYING THE INFLUENCE OF FACTORS OF INSTABILITY OF FACE-MILLING PROCESS ON MECHANICAL HARDENING OF THE SURFACE LAYER

Authors: M. Iremadze, A. Khvadagiani, G. Tutberidze

Abstract:

Is stated the analysis of face-milling process on mechanical hardening of the surface layer. Is shown that after the face-milling of steel, most and unambiguous influence on mechanical hardening of the surface layer makes tooth loading Sz and radial runout r. Is revealed that as a determinant at deformation of the surface layer is the vertical component of cutting force Px .

Keywords: Face milling; instability; microhardness of surface layer; strain hardening (cold working) of surface layer;
