Abstract:

In this article are presented the theoretical studies of the decline period of ignition delay in diesel engines, is drawn attention to the relationship of this period with the activation energy, the reduction of that is possible with the application of catalysts, the arrangement of which in fuel injector would lead to improvement of diesel engines economic and environmental performances.
